St. Bernardus Witbier from Brouwerij St. Bernardus in Belgium
Somewhat fizzy and bubbly this is a fun drinking wheat beer that I wish was possible to get here at home.
I’ve never been disappointed with the Berardus beers, however did feel this wasn’t quite as top notch as their 6, 8 or 12 beers. Still tasty, it easily holds its own to other wheat beers. I enjoyed the fresh spices and was a bit surprised by the abundant amount of carbonation in the beer.
This is a very orange-y and lemon-y brew that is meant to be enjoyed under the sun. The Germans may win my title for country that produces the best wheat beers, but this Belgian wheat beer gives them a run for their money.
