Wicked Wheat Beer: Weihenstephaner Weissbier

Weihenstephaner Weissbier, a classic wheat beer from Germany

Solid beer from what is claimed to be the world’s oldest brewery.

A bit on the bitter spiced aroma side, it has a strong aroma. Taste-wise, it goes down very refreshingly, with a slight sour citrus tinge on the tip of the tongue.

Hazy yellow with an omnipresent head it is a fine summer patio brew that exudes freshness with plenty of banana and clove present.

Not my personal favourite but I’d probably rank it in the top five hefe weissbiers – highly recommended.
