L’Infusée from Brasseurs du Monde in Canada
This is a flavoured / spcied beer with a wheat beer base. Added to the wheat beer is green tea and two other tea varieties, creating a welcoming, sweet smelling and unique tasting brew.
Pours with a light cloudiness, definitely looks like a wheat beer.
Smells of sweet lemon and apricot. Very refreshing. Taste is interesting, more tea than expected which is good. After a lemony zest to to start there is a steeped tea dryness that takes over.
After sitting for a bit your mouth tastes like you’ve had a cup of tea instead of a bottle of beer. The alcohol isn’t very evident at all.
It may not be complex but at least is accomplished its goal. Too many flavoured beers come up short, this infused wheat beer works well!
The Wicked Wheat Beer Series is a collection of great wheat beers ranging from Belgian Witbier to Dunkelweiss to Hefeweizen and everything in between. If you’re a glutton for gluten, or wild for wheat beers, these are the refreshing beers for you.
