Wicked Wheat Beer: Rooibos Africaine

Rooibos Africaine, a Spiced Wheat Ale from Montreal

Another spicy wheat beer.

This is an orange looking mostly clear beer with a unique aroma.

Smells of peach and something else. Some wheat … but some Africa too. Not sure what makes it African style but it reminded me of Africa. Perhaps just a psychological connection?

Whatever Rooibos is, I like it. Kind of peppery, some cinnamon too, with a peachy sweetness. Odd and refreshing mix of flavours.

Very smooth tasting from start to finish with a slightly dry bitter ending. I quite liked it, but the unique flavouring may mean you’ll love or hate this spiced wheat ale.
